Patricia Mulligan

Patricia has been involved in the festival movement from an early age,
performing in festivals and feiseanna all over Ireland. She trained at Trinity
College, London and has undertaken further courses in lighting, organising the
school play, movement and dance, make up, mime and public speaking. She
has taught in pre-school, primary, grammar and 3 rd level education. She has
produced plays and pantomimes and was director of “Stagestruck” a summer
musical theatre school which usually attracted 150 young people annually for
over 20 years.

At present, she runs her own speech and drama school teaching to diploma
level. She is a founder member and organising secretary of Banbridge
Performing Arts Festival, now approaching its 50 th anniversary, which annually
attract up to 2000 entries! She adjudicates Speech and Drama festivals /
feiseanna all over Ireland, the UK, Sri Lanka and Hong Kong as well as one act
and full length plays.

Being the Northern Ireland Regional representative for the Society of teachers
of Speech and Drama [MSTSD] she has organised talks and workshops for
colleagues. She is also an approved adjudicator for National Society of
Teachers of Speech and Drama. She has also been the Chairperson of the
Banbridge Arts Committee. She is an adjudicator member of the British and
International Federation of Festivals attends their annual conference every
year, and is an approved Drama Adjudicator for the Amateur Council of
Ireland. She is also an official examiner for the New Era Academy, London.
Pat is delighted to be invited back to adjudicate the senior section of Féile
Luimnigh and hopes all performers will have a very positive and happy
experience!
